Well, I guess I'm finally getting over the shock of the General Forum being boarded up like a burned out crack den.
I'm going to miss that particular insane asylum. It was a good place to get some laughs, often from silly nonsense and terrible memes.
I'll raise a glass to the dead tonight.
May eternity bring you peace, General Forum.
As for Politics, my only experiences with the Forum made it seem like an endless round and round wall-talking jamboree.
Well I was sad at first, mostly because general was a good place for small talk and to meet people , but is good giving some space to the more specific forums.
Meanwhile i hoped that politics would get closed. So yay i guess?
Yeah, I'm hoping the Video Game Forum will become a bit more lively now.

RIP indeed! Sad to see it go... though I do hope it'll get resurrected eventually. Things may calm down. The community culture may shift a bit. It may once again be deemed appropriate to have a free for all around here...

I've been through quite a few name changes over the years before finally settling on Peepers.
I think thenoodge138 was my first user name on here, so 2010.

Kinda feel bad I never took a better interest in old thrash/punk in the 80s-90s. Rare earth Metal was hard enough to come by... got lucky w WSOU college radio. Xmas-time was a fucking hoot, so well scrounged up stuff.... also had Christian and Hawaiian stuff too :3
The Political forum had gotten a bit anal: mods tended to shut down discourse before it happened (I got shut down by TOS a few times). However, could understand why... not all of us are privy to modern debating techniques (Robert's Rules, what have you). In a strict scientific/academic sense, well, it wasn't happening in Political lol.
But then, I have to wonder, if an outside force (not Tom Fulpian) had too much influence on the ending of General and Politics.
I've found the forums of Zerohedge to be liberal, when it comes to all those nasty political thingos.... haven't posted there yet. Those buggers aren't dull, but they are of Newgroundian decent ;) Well... maybe a bit crusty and/or tryhardy, but astute
